Incentive scholarship is granted for bachelor, master, integrated and professional pedagogical studies students for the best achievements in the study process. This scholarship could not be granted in the first semester of the first year. 

Students who have debts or academic debts cannot be granted this scholarship. 

This scholarship is awarded automatically, no application is required. The size of the scholarship is 11 basic social benefits (BSB). Currently, 1 BSB is 55 EUR. This scholarship is granted twice a year.

In order to get this scholarship student does not fill in any application – it is assigned automatically but is necessary to register a bank account in VU IS account. If you receive this scholarship, you will be informed personally.

Community support scholarship are granted to students of the first cycle, second cycle, third cycle and integrated studies in the event of death of family members, natural or other disasters, illness or other similar cases. The size of a one-off social grant is from 2 to 15 BSB.  Currently, 1 BSB is 55 EUR

These grants are also relevant for students who have suspended their studies or took academic leave. 

In order to get these grants, the student has to fill in the application in VU IS and present the required documents: 

  • A certificate of family composition; 
  • A certificate of income from work / individual activity of family members for the last 3 months or certificate of unemployment; 
  • A certificate of income from work / individual activity of student for the last 3 months or certificate of unemployment; 
  • Other documents proving the need for financial support.

One-off earmarked scholarships are granted to students of the first cycle, second cycle, third cycle and integrated studies with relevant achievements in sports, cultural and scientific/social activities. 

One-off earmarked scholarship’s size varies from 1 BSB (basic social benefit) to 15 BSB which is form 39 euros to 585 euros. 

The application, activity table and other documents proving the activity (e.g. copies of diplomas, scientific publications) can be submitted via VU IS. The deadline in autumn semester is 25th of October; in spring semester 25th of March. 

This scholarship is also relevant for students who have suspended their studies or took the academic leave. 

The scholarship can be granted only once for the same activity.

Scholarship for Research Achievements – awarded to students of the first cycle, second cycle, integrated, professional pedagogy and residency study programmes who are distinguished for their mature research activities.
Students wishing to receive a scholarship must submit an application at the eStudent environment by 10 November in the Autumn semester and by 10 May in the Spring semester. The application shall be accompanied by a detailed description of the student’s research activities and documents supporting achievements in research activities (copies of published or accepted publication articles, conference presentation abstracts, project works, diplomas, recommendations, etc.).
The amount of the scholarship ranges from 2 BSB to 15 BSB. Currently, 1 BSB is 55 EUR.

Social Scholarship – is awarded to students of the first cycle and integrated studies who are studying in a higher year of studies than the first and to students of the second cycle and professional pedagogy studies who are studying in a higher semester of studies than the first, provided they meet the criteria:

  • The average income of a person and their family members for the three months preceding the day the application for a scholarship was submitted to the University does not exceed EUR 500 per month for one person.
  • A student has not been awarded other permanent (not one-off) social support related to studies and granted by the state or the University.
  • A student has not obtained a qualification degree of a respective cycle.

A scholarship consists of two parts: periodic and one-off payments. The amount of the periodic part of the scholarship is EUR 200 per month.

The amount of the one-off payment part of a scholarship is equal to EUR 300 which is awarded to students who received a periodic payment of a scholarship in a current academic year and whose personal average for the current academic year, compared with an average of the previous academic years, has increased more (or decreased less) than the average for the same periods of the year of the study programme in which the student is studying. For students of the second cycle and professional pedagogy studies studying in the first semester of studies, the comparison encompasses the current and the previous semester of studies respectively.
A student wishing to receive a scholarship must submit an application at the eStudent environment by 30 June (in the case of students of the second cycle and professional pedagogy students studying in the first year – by 15 January). The application shall also specify which of the criteria a person meets.
